Dr. Perez’s journey in dentistry began in Bogotá, Colombia, where she earned her dental degree from the Colombian Dental College. She later returned to the same institution to pursue advanced training in Prosthodontics, developing a strong foundation in restorative and reconstructive dental care. After immigrating to the United States with her family, Dr. Perez continued her professional journey by completing the International Dental Program at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine, earning her DMD in 2010.
While she practices as a general dentist in the United States, Dr. Perez’s extensive prosthodontic education and years of experience have given her a unique perspective when treating patients who need restorative or comprehensive dental care. She believes that dentistry should be about more than simply addressing a problem. It should be about understanding the individual patient, listening to their concerns, and creating a plan that supports both their oral health and confidence.
That commitment to continued growth has remained a defining part of Dr. Perez’s career. She has completed extensive additional training in implant dentistry, including an Implant Dentistry Continuum seminar, a Fellowship in Dental Implants through the International Dental Implant Association, and hands-on live patient implant surgery training. Most recently, she completed the FIXED Foundations course through Zest Dental Solutions, further expanding her knowledge of fixed restorative implant prosthetics.
Dr. Perez has also expanded her expertise beyond traditional dental care. Her continuing education includes training in Botox and fillers, allowing her to incorporate aesthetic services into her practice. In addition, her postgraduate studies in emotional therapy and coaching reflect another side of her approach to patient care: recognizing that a positive healthcare experience involves not only clinical treatment, but also understanding the person behind the patient.
