Dr. Berlin’s path to medicine began at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she earned her degree in Biology with a minor in Writing, an early reflection of both her scientific rigor and her ability to communicate with clarity and compassion. She went on to receive her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by surgical training and a chief residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
In addition to her civilian career, Dr. Berlin served as a Captain in the United States Army Medical Department, providing care in a variety of clinical settings. This experience helped shape her steady, capable presence and reinforced her commitment to serving others.
Now a longtime resident of Clay County for over 16 years, Dr. Berlin has become a trusted and familiar face in the local medical community. She has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as President of the Clay County Medical Society and Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Her contributions extend beyond the operating room, reflecting a genuine investment in both her patients and her community.
Dr. Berlin specializes in general and laparoscopic surgery and has been consistently recognized for both her clinical excellence and compassionate care, earning multiple awards including “Best of Clay General Surgeon” and the Vitals Compassionate Doctor and Patients’ Choice Awards.
