Dr. Andrew Simonsen of Simonsen Maddern Pediatric ENT Named FL Top Doc
Dr. Andrew Simonsen of Simonsen Maddern Pediatric ENT has been reviewed and approved by FL Top Docs based on merit for 2024. Dr. Simonsen is a fellowship-trained Otolaryngologist, board-certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery. A graduate of the University of Hawaii at Mānoa with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition, Dr. Simonsen earned his medical degree from Western University in Pomona, California. Dr. Simonsen then completed his residency in General Surgery and Otolaryngology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, with additional training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Following residency, Dr. Simonsen pursued a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, training at Texas Children’s Hospital. He actively participates in professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
With a focus on the medical and surgical management of ENT disorders in children, Dr. Simonsen’s clinical interests include pediatric nasal and sinus disease, sleep apnea, and hearing loss. He is also an author of multiple peer-reviewed articles and a textbook chapter on nasal septoplasty.
Dr. Simonsen is dedicated to serving the children of Northeast Florida and supports local causes, often seen at community events like the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville’s annual “Buddy Walk.”
