Dr. Mark Baker, a native of Springdale, Arkansas, has been serving patients in Eastern Hillsborough County since 2005. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in History. In 2000, Dr. Baker received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, graduating in the top 10% of his class and earning a spot in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of South Florida from 2000 to 2005.

Dr. Baker holds Board certification in Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of several medical organizations, including the American Urological Association, the Southeastern Section of the AUA, and the American Society for Clinical Urologists, among others.

Throughout his career, Dr. Baker has built expertise in a wide range of urologic conditions and surgeries. He was the first surgeon in Florida to perform a TransVesical Single Port Robotic Radical Prostatectomy, a cutting-edge procedure that offers patients less pain and a quicker recovery, often allowing them to go home the same day. Dr. Baker’s extensive experience in robotic and laparoscopic surgeries has made him a local leader in these advanced urologic techniques, providing patients with exceptional care and outcomes.

Dr. Baker has operative privileges at several hospitals, including Brandon Regional Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital – South, and he continues to be a dedicated physician in the community.
